Itinerary
Negombo - Kitulgala - Hatton - Haputale - Horton Plains - Ella - Peradeniya - Negombo

Day 1Colombo Airport – Arrival - Negombo

Our representative will be eagerly awaiting you on your arrival into Colombo International airport.

Meet at arrivals hall.

To overcome your long flight, you will rest at a comfortable hotel in Negombo. Subject to your check in time, enjoy an Ayurveda massage to help sooth away any jetlag.

Overnight stay Negombo.

Day 2Negombo - Kitulgala

After breakfast transit to Kitulgala for some well deserved action and excitement – (water rafting, other activities optional, zip lining, cave visit, bird watching, trekking canoeing, confidence jump, sliding, village tour).

After your activities drive to Hatton for an overnight stay.

Day 3Hatton

After breakfast the following activities are available to you (boat ride and pick nick, visit tea plantations, tea factory visit, trekking).

Lunch and relax with a good book at your hotel

Overnight stay in Hatton.

Day 4Hatton to Haputale

After breakfast several trekking options are possible from Haputale, including the Devil Stair Case to Horton’s Plains. (Talk to us for all the trekking options available in the area).

Additional attractions in Haputale : visit Lipton Seat, Adisham Bungalow. A walk with a trekking guide through tea plantations to Lipton Seat (distance – 15 kms one way from Haputale).

Visit the Bambarakanda waterfalls and Lanka Ella waterfalls.

For the avid bird lovers, don’t miss the Tangamale bird sanctuary.

Overnight in Haputale.

Day 5Haputale

After a hearty breakfast, drive to Horton Plains. You will walk through enchanting scenery to World’s End (an escarpment with a drop of some 860mtrs to the bottom), Little World’s End and Bakers falls. During this trek observe birds and wild life in their natural surroundings.

Several treks can be arranged from Horton Plains to Kirigalpota and Thotupola (talk to us, we are here to help).

Overnight in Haputale.

Day 6Haputale

After breakfast drive to Ella, discover the superb sights of the 9 Arch Bridge, the gorgeous Ella Gap, Ravana falls, Little Adam’s Peak.

Trekking options available in Ella. (Talk to us).

Drive back for an overnight stay in Haputale.

Day 7Haputale - Negombo

After breakfast, hop on a train from Haputale (early morning or mid morning to Peradeniya). If the train is not available, drive to Negombo Via Ratnapura.

A goodbye dinner will be arranged for you. Drinks not included.

Overnight in Negombo.

Day 8Negombo - Airport

Subject to your departure time, you will have the option to enjoy some time by the beach or laze by the pool, take the Hamilton canal boat ride, a cooking class, an Ayurveda massage or Negombo city tour.

Depart Negombo to reach the airport 3.5 hrs before your departure time. Drop you off at the airport and end of the tour.

What to Expect

Hill Country – (Hatton, Haputale, Ella, Horton Plains) – Temperatures can get chilly.

Safety in any water activities or sea – (Negombo, Kitulgala). Always follow the service providers instructions and any red flag notification on the beach.

Buying entry tickets – (Horton Plains) – Buy tickets from official kiosk/counter before commencing your visit.

Negombo – Vibrant beach towns with lot of restaurants & cafes.

Potable Water – Always carry a bottle of water.

Heat – Keep with you a cap or a hat/scarf.

Inclusions & Exclusions.

Our pricing INCLUDES the followings:

  1. Meet our representative at Colombo International Airport.
  2. Transportation using air-conditioned vehicles with driver.
  3. All fuel, insurance and license fees of the vehicle.
  4. Replacement of vehicle in case of breakdown or emergency.
  5. Accommodation as specified in our quotation.
  6. Breakfast included or as per requested meal plan.
  7. 1ltr complementary bottle of water per person per day.
  8. Highway tolls

Our pricing EXCLUDES the followings:

  1. Air ticket expenses from your country to Sri Lanka and return journey
  2. Visa, travel and medical insurance
  3. Early check in and late check outs
  4. Other meals & beverages, unless otherwise specified
  5. Extra items consumed in your hotel, bar, mini bar and all facilities utilized in the hotels. These are to be settled prior to check out at hotel
  6. Tips and expenses of personal nature
  7. Photography and video filming charges at sites
  8. All mentioned activities, any entrance fees. We are happy to provide these costs with our quotation.

  1. Availability at hotels are subject to confirmation of the tour and travel date.
  2. The range of accommodation offered are yours to choose from, these are : standard, star rated, luxury and boutique hotels. Additionally, safari-adventure tented camps and eco lodges, plantation bungalows, private luxury villas.
