Day 1Airport - Negombo

Our representative will be eagerly awaiting you on your arrival into Colombo International airport.

Meet at arrivals hall.

To overcome your long flight, you will rest at a comfortable hotel in Negombo. Subject to your check in time, enjoy an Ayurveda massage to help sooth away any jetlag.

Day 2Negombo - Kandy

After breakfast depart to the hill capital of Kandy.

Before reaching Kandy visit Gadaladenia Temple and Embekke Devalyia, the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, Sri Dalada Maligawa/Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic Tooth Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site ).

Day 3Kandy

After a leisurely breakfast, there are a number of activities you can do. Enjoy an Ayurveda massage and spa, relax at your hotel or trekking in the Knuckles Range. If you so wish visit the Victoria golf links for lunch.

Day 4Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast depart to Nuwara Eliya.

On the way climb Ramboda falls (45 minutes to reach the top of the falls), and see other waterfalls en-route to Nuwara Eliya, including tea plantation and tea factory a visit.

On reaching Nuwara Eliya, the afternoon is yours, explore the city, Gregory’s lake, Victoria Park or the golf club.

Day 5Nuwara Eliya to Haputale

After an early breakfast, leave for Horton Plains (approximately 1.30h drive). Enjoy a walk with views of the Kirigalpota and Thotupola mountains, take some time to admire the birds, animals that you will observe on the way to World’s End. Don’t forget to take your camera, there are stunning views awaiting. Discover Bakers falls and mini World’s End.

Alternatively a guide assisted trek from Horton Plains through the Devil’s Staircase to Haputale.

Day 6Haputale

Today, awaken to a different world! After breakfast, you can have an interesting day visiting Bambarakanda waterfalls, Lanka Ella, Lipton’s seat where you will observe sublime views of Thomas Lipton’s tea plantation, Adisham Bungalow or choose amongst these options. You can otherwise decide to relax at your hotel, just enjoying the enchanting verdant views.

Day 7Haputale - Uda Walawa

After breakfast drive to Uda Walawa (estimated driving time 2 hours). To participate in a afternoon (2.30pm) Safari, where you will observe elephants and other animals and birds in their natural habitat.

Day 8Uda Walawa to Tangalle

To enjoy an early Safari in the park, when animals are more active, the Safari commences at 6.30am. Packed breakfast sandwiches will provide or breakfast on your return to the hotel.

Proceed to Tangalle (1.30 hour drive approximately).

On checking into your hotel in Tangalle, you can simply relax on the beach of golden sand or visit the ancient Mulgirigala Rock Temple and the stunning views of paddy fields, villages from its summit.

Day 9Tangalle

A Day of farniente/idleness for you to enjoy or water activities await you – It’s left up to you. Be active, enjoy a spa treatment, relax on the beach or by the pool, view a gorgeous sunset on the Indian Ocean. Enjoy lazy days and carefree nights under the Tangalle skies.

Day 10Tangalle to Colombo via Galle

After breakfast leave Tangalle for Galle (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Take the time to discover the Old Town, the Dutch Fort, the picturesque streets, the colonial buildings, the nice restaurants.

Then you will leave Galle using the highway to Colombo (approximately 2.30 hours drive).

Upon checking into your hotel, rest and relax by then pool.

A goodbye dinner will be arranged for you. Drinks not included.

Day 11Colombo to International Airport

Depart Colombo to reach the airport 3.5 hrs before your departure time. Drop you off at the airport and end of the tour.

What to Expect

Temple of the Tooth (Kandy), Mulgirigala and other Temples- Wear conservative attire and cover shoulders and legs. Remove shoes & slippers. Socks can be worn.

Hill Country – (Nuwara Eliya, Horton Plains, Haputale ) – Temperatures can get chilly.

Safety in any water activities or sea – (Negombo, Tangalle). Always follow the service providers instructions and any red flag notification on the beach.

Negombo, Tangalle – Vibrant beach towns with lot of restaurants & cafes.

Site guides – All Venues : Test their language skills and knowledge. Fix the price before you proceed. Cost should be circa USD 10.00 or 15.00.

Uda Walawa – Recommended to take mosquito repellent.

Buying entry tickets – (Temple of the Tooth/Peradeniya/Horton Plains/Uda Walawa/Mulgirigala) – Buy tickets from official kiosk/counter before commencing your visit.

Mulgirigala – Beware of uneven stairs. Some climbs can be perceived as challenging.

Potable Water – Always carry a bottle of water.

Heat – Keep with you a cap or a hat/scarf.
