During this trip you will explore Sri Lankan rain forest, enjoy beautiful walks through vibrant green tea plantations and hill country, splendid scenic views, waterfalls and wildlife, visit the sacred tooth temple in Kandy.

To overcome your long flight, you will rest at a comfortable hotel in Negombo. Subject to your check in time, enjoy an Ayurveda massage to help sooth away any jetlag.
Overnight stay in Negombo.
After breakfast depart Negombo for Sinharaja Rain Forest (UNESCO World Heritage Site), approximately 3 hours drive. In the afternoon walk in the rain forest and engage in some bird watching.
Overnight stay in Sinharaja in an eco-type accommodation.
After breakfast leave for Uda Walawa National Park (3 hours drive). The park is home for huge herds of elephants. The visitors can see these beautiful wild animals in their natural habitat.
Embark on a jeep safari starting at 2.30pm.

After breakfast, a 2 hours drive will take you to Belihul Oya. The place is ideal for trekkers and nature lovers. A three hours trek will take you through tea plantations and locals villages.
After the trek drive to Haputale for dinner and an overnight stay.
Haputale offers splendid panoramic views of the hills and tea plantations. A popular interesting walk is on the railway track to Bandarawela, alternatively walk in the opposite direction from Haputale to Idalgashinna.
Haputale is the starting point of many trekking trails. A walk through lush verdant green tea plantations is not to be missed.
The Adisham Bungalow and Bambarakanda falls are some of the many attractions to be visited. The Lipton’s seat is definitely a must visit.
A day trip to Ella is an option to discover the Ella Gap, 9 Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak and Ravana waterfalls.
Overnight in Haputale.
After breakfast and subject to availability catch a scenic train ride from Haputale to Nanu-Oya. Your driver will be waiting at Nanu-Oya train station and will take you to Nuwara Eliya.
Afternoon to relax in the hotel or visit Nuwara Eliya at your leisure.

After an early breakfast or packed breakfast drive to Horton Plains for a round trip 9 km walk towards World’s End, Baker Falls and Little world’s End.
If you want to hike to Adam’s Peak and be at the top for sunrise, it is suggested to leave Nuwara Eliya in the middle of the night.
In the afternoon relax in the hotel or treat yourself with a well deserved high tea.
Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, proceed on a 3 hours drive to Kandy, en route visit a tea factory and Ramboda falls.
Stop over at the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. The gardens are one of the finest landscaped gardens in Asia. An opportunity to see a unique diversity of exotic trees and flowers. The house of orchids where so many different species of orchids are grown, is an enchantment to your eyes.
Visit the Dalada Maligawa “ Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic” (UNESCO World Heritage Site). At 6pm the Puja ceremony starts, it’s a unique spiritual moment to savour, where locals participate in rituals and pay homage to Lord Buddha.
Overnight stay in Kandy.
After breakfast drive to the Hanthana Mountain and experience a glorious scenic trek in Hanthana mountain range or visit the Embekke Devalayia and Gadaladeniya Raja Maha Viharaya.

Leave Kandy after breakfast for Negombo.
On check in to your hotel in the afternoon why not pamper yourself with an Ayurveda massage? Alternatively a leisurely boat ride on the Hamilton Canal or simply relax on the beach watching the beautiful sunset on the Indian Ocean.
A goodbye dinner will be arranged for you. Drinks not included.

Depending on your departure flight time, leave Negombo to reach the airport 3.5 hrs before your departure. Drop you off at the airport and end of the tour.

Temple of the Tooth and other Temples (Kandy) – Wear conservative attire and cover shoulders and legs. Remove shoes & slippers. Socks can be worn.
Hill Country – (Nuwara Eliya, Horton Plains, Haputale) – Temperatures can get chilly.
Safety in any water activities or sea – (Negombo). Always follow the service providers instructions and any red flag notification on the beach.
Negombo – Vibrant beach towns with lot of restaurants & cafes.
Site guides – All Venues : Test their language skills and knowledge. Fix the price before you proceed. Cost should be circa USD 10.00 or 15.00.
Sinharaja Rain Forest – Mosquito and leach repellent recommended. Always follow the tracker or the guides’ instructions. Treks or Safaris are undertaken with a tracker.
Buying entry tickets – (Sinharaja Rain Forest/ Uda Walawa/ Temple of the Tooth/ Peradeniya) – Buy tickets from official kiosk/counter before commencing your visit.
Potable Water – Always carry a bottle of water.
Heat – Keep with you a cap or a hat/scarf.
