Your trip will take you for a safari, visit the interesting UNESCO World Heritage sites and ancient ruins, Dagoba’s of the first capital city of Sri Lanka and the phenomenal Sigiriya rock citadel, the unique Dambulla cave temple and then for some beach fun and sun in Negombo.

To overcome your long flight, you will rest at a comfortable hotel in Negombo. Subject to your check in time, enjoy an Ayurveda massage to help sooth away any jetlag.

After breakfast depart for Wilpattu National Park (approximately 3.30 hours drive).
Early afternoon (2pm) Safari and wild life adventure in Wilpattu National park. Wilpattu declared as a National Park in 1938 is located on the west coast and close to Anuradhapura. The park is home for a lot of migratory water-birds and for more than 20 species of mammals. Ancient ruins have been discovered in Wilpattu National Park.

After breakfast short drive to Anuradhapura.
Visit the ancient capital of Anuradhapura (UNESCO World Heritage Site) 1st capital of ancient Sri Lanka. The religious influence increased when the saplings from the Sri Mahabodi Tree the “enlightment tree” was brought to Anuradhapura some 2200 years ago. The proportions and the diversity of monuments and archaeological treasures are unique. The enormous stupa Ruwanweliseya, the temples, palaces, the water reservoirs are amazing.
After the visit, 1.30 hour drive and you are in Sigiriya. Relax by the pool or treat yourself to a massage.

After an early breakfast visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site) the citadel built on a 180 meters high rock of granite. You can alternatively visit the less visited but charming Pidurangala Rock.
After lunch visit the unique and inspiring site of Dambulla Cave Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
After breakfast return to Negombo, where you can enjoy the beach or laze by the pool, take the Hamilton canal boat ride, a cooking class, an Ayuverda massage or Negombo city tour.
A goodbye dinner will be arranged for you. Drinks not included.
Overnight stay in Negombo.
Depart Negombo to reach the airport 3.5 hrs before your departure time. Drop you off at the airport and end of the tour.

Dambulla – Wear conservative attire and cover shoulders and legs. Remove shoes & slippers. Socks can be worn.
Dambulla – Before taking any pictures ask permission.
Dambulla/Sigiriya/Pidurangala –Beware of uneven stairs. Some climbs can be perceived as challenging.
Buying entry tickets – (Wilpattu/ Sigiriya/ Anuradhapura/ Dambulla/ Pidurangala) – Buy tickets from official kiosk/counter before commencing your visit.
Wilpattu – Recommend that you take Mosquito repellent. Always follow the tracker or the guides’ instructions. Treks or Safaris are undertaken with a tracker.
Site guides – (All Venues). Test their language skills and knowledge. Fix the price before you proceed. Cost should be circa USD 10.00 or 15.00.
Safety in any water activities or sea – (Negombo). Always follow the service providers instructions and any red flag notification on the beach.
Negombo – Vibrant beach towns with lot of restaurants & cafes.
Potable Water – Always carry a bottle of water.
Heat – Keep with you a cap or a hat/scarf.
