During these 9 days, you will enjoy a mix of activities and fun, together with culture – lots of sea sports, dolphin watching (during the season), wonderful beaches, several ancient UNESCO World Heritage sites, temples, good seafood and gorgeous tropical sunsets.

To overcome your long flight, you will rest at a comfortable hotel in Negombo. Subject to your check in time, enjoy an Ayurveda massage to help sooth away any jetlag.

After breakfast drive to Kalpitiya (approximately 3.30 hours).
In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride, kite surfing and many other activities. Or just soak up some sun on the beach.
Overnight in Kalpitia.
Early risers can go whale and dolphin watching on a cruise and on your return to the hotel enjoy breakfast.
Yet other relaxed, friendly and informal day to participate in activities, local tours or just rest on the beach.
Overnight in Kalpitiya.
After breakfast leave to Anuradhapura (approximately 3.30 hours). Anuradhapura sacred city (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The first capital city of Sri Lanka (4th century BC). Find the oldest recorded Bodhi Tree “Tree of Enlightenment” in the world.
After the visit take a rest at your hotel.
Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
After breakfast depart to Mihinthale Archeological site. The religious site is a major pilgrimage destination for Buddhists. It encompasses a spectacular Buddhist Temple, dagobas surrounded by columns. Scenic views from its summit are breathtaking.
After the visit proceed to Trincomalee (1.30 hour drive approximately). On the way you can visit the hot spring water wells.
Rest in your hotel for the rest of the afternoon.
Overnight in Trincomalee.
After breakfast you can visit the town, Fort Frederick, the Konesvaram Temple, Lovers leap, fish market, boat ride and Pigeon Island or visit some of its lovely beaches. So many things to do in renown Trincomalee or just relax in your hotel.
Overnight in Trincomalee.
After a leisurely breakfast hit the road to Sigiriya (2 to 2.30 hours approximately).
In the afternoon(2.30pm) you can indulge in a wild-side safari expedition in a close by National Park to observe elephants, water monitors, peacocks and other species in their natural habitat.
Overnight in Sigiriya.
After breakfast, visit a local village where you can participate in an authentic Sri Lanka cookery class and enjoy the benefits of your culinary skills.
In the afternoon visit the Lion Rock (UNESCO World Heritage Site). This citadel was built by King Kassapa more than 2000 years ago on a massive block of granite. The ruins of the Palace, the water reservoir, the delicate frescoes and the views on the gardens and the site are impressive.
After the climb, return to your hotel for some rest, relaxation, massage or a swim.
Overnight in Sigiriya.
After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The numerous splendid and impressively preserved statues and mural paintings deserve all your attention.
On the way back to Negombo you can stop at the magical Ridi Viharaya in Kurunegala. Spend some time and be inspired by the silence and the peace of the Vihara.
Check into your Negombo hotel, relax by the pool or on the beach, have a swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
A goodbye dinner will be arranged for you. Drinks not included.

Depending on your departure time of your flight, you can enjoy an ayurveda massage

Mihintale / Dambulla Cave Temple / Kurunegala – Wear conservative attire and cover shoulders and legs. Remove shoes & slippers. Socks can be worn.
Site guides – (All Venues). Test their language skills and knowledge. Fix the price before you proceed. Cost should be circa USD 10.00 or 15.00.
Buying entry tickets – Sigiriya/Mihintale/Anuradhapura/Dambulla– Buy tickets from official kiosk/counter before your climb.
Dambulla – Before taking any pictures ask permission.
Dambulla/Mihintale/Sigiriya – Beware of uneven stairs. Some climbs can be perceived as challenging.
Safety in any water activities or sea – (Kalpitiya, Trincomalee, Negombo). Always watch out for red flag on the beach or follow the service providers instructions.
Negombo – Vibrant beach town with lot of restaurants & cafes.
Potable Water – Always carry a bottle of water.
Heat – Keep with you a cap or a hat/scarf.
