Day 1Colombo Airport – Arrival - Negombo

Our representative will be eagerly awaiting you on your arrival into Colombo International airport.

Meet at arrivals hall.

To overcome your long flight, you will rest at a comfortable hotel in Negombo. Subject to your arrival time enjoy an Ayurveda massage to help sooth away any jetlag.

Overnight stay in Negombo.

Day 2Negombo - Kandy

After breakfast leave Negombo for Kandy. En-route stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage or drive directly to Kandy to discover the serenity of Sri Dalada Maligawa “Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic” (UNESCO World Heritage Site). At 6pm witness the inspiring ceremony of offerings and prayers to Lord Buddha, accompanied by drums and trumpets! A true spiritual experience not to be missed.

Day 3Kandy – Peradeniya - Kandy

After breakfast, if you wish you can visit the site of the Gadaladeniya Temple, Lankathilaka Viharaya, Embekke Devalayia or have a pleasant therapeutic walk into the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. One of the finest landscaped botanical gardens in Asia.

Spend the afternoon by the pool at your villa.

Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 4Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Depart to Nuwara Eliya (approximately 2.30 hours). The route transits proceeds through vibrant green tea plantations. On the way see a few waterfalls and visit a tea processing factory where you may enjoy a pot of refreshing tea.

When arrived into Nuwara Eliya, rest and relax or visit the little town, walk around the lake and enjoy the freshness of the misty hills.

Overnight stay in a bungalow or a Colonial style hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains

Today you can either decide to go trekking on Horton Plains National Park, see little World’s End, the Baker Falls and the impressive World’s End, an escarpment with an approximate 850mtr drop to the bottom. During the walk enjoy the views, the wild life and the flora. You also have the option to visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens.

In the afternoon relax to a Colonial style high tea to warm you up.

Overnight stay in a bungalow or a Colonial style hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6Nuwara Eliya – Haputale

Rise and shine, it’s a new day under the Sri Lanka sky! After breakfast leave Nuwara Eliya for Haputale (approximately 2 hours drive). You might have the option to hop on a train to Haputale taking the scenic train (if available) from Nanu Oya train station. The train ride reveals splendid scenic views of tea plantations. Your driver will be waiting for you at Haputale train station.

In Haputale visit Lipton seat and Adisham bungalow, St Benedicts Monastery.

Day 7Haputale - Yala

After breakfast leave at your leisure to Yala National Park. On the way to Yala stop over at Diyaluma waterfall.

In the afternoon, a jeep safari to Yala National Park, the largest National Park in Sri Lanka where you will observe herds of elephants and abundant wild life.

Overnight stay in Tissamaharama.

Day 8Tissamaharama – Kirinda – Sithulpawwa - Kataragama - Tissamaharama

After breakfast leave at you leisure to visit Kirinda Rajamaha Viharaya, Sithulpawwa Rock Temple, Kataragama sacred city.

Spend the afternoon by the pool and or visit Kirinda to relax on the beach.

Overnight stay in a luxurious eco type hotel in Tissamaharama.

Day 9Tissamaharama – Galle

After breakfast leave to Galle (UNESCO World Heritage Site), approximately 4 hours drive. On the En route visit Matara Fort and the Star Fort.

Day 10Galle

Day to relax by the pool, by choice the local beach or explore the area.

Day 11Galle

After breakfast and at your leisure, explore Galle town, the old Dutch fort, the picturesque streets and their many shops, restaurants and chic cafes.

Day 12Galle - Colombo

After breakfast leave Galle at your leisure, drive to Colombo (2.30 hours drive). In the afternoon check out a city tour, visit the Pettah market, the old Parliament, Independent square and many other interesting attractions or just relax by the pool in your hotel.

A goodbye dinner will be arranged for you. Drinks not included.

Day 13Colombo International Airport

Depending on your departure flight time, leave Colombo to reach the airport 3.30hrs before your departure. Drop you off at the airport and end of the tour.

What to Expect

Temple of the Tooth (Kandy) & Kataragama and other Temples – Wear conservative attire and cover shoulders and legs. Remove shoes & slippers. Socks can be worn.

Hill Country – (Nuwara Eliya, Horton Plains, Haputale) – Temperatures can get chilly.

Safety in any water activities or sea – (Galle, Kirinda, Negombo). Always follow the service providers instructions and any red flag notification on the beach.

Galle, Negombo – Vibrant beach towns with lot of restaurants & cafes.

Site guides – All Venues : Test their language skills and knowledge. Fix the price before you proceed. Cost should be circa USD 10.00 or 15.00.

Buying entry tickets – (Temple of the Tooth/ Pinnawala/ Peradeniya/ Horton Plains/ Yala) – Buy tickets from official kiosk/counter before commencing your visit.

Safaris – Recommended to take mosquito repellent.

Potable Water – Always carry a bottle of water.

Heat – Keep with you a cap or a hat/scarf.
