Hakgala Botanical Garden

Hakgala Botanical Garden was established in 1861 near Nuwara Eliya. Over 10,000 species of flora are grown in the garden and during the spring season, throngs of visitors come to the garden to see the blooms. The garden is famous for its numerous species of orchids and roses.
