Bentota

Bentota is a tourist attraction with world-class hotels and famous for its water sports activities and beaches. The turtle hatchery on Induruwa beach is one of the many attractions. The tradition of ayurveda is largely practiced in Bentota. The nearby Galapatha Raja Maha Vihare Buddhist Temple presents stoned carvings and inscriptions, pillars from a medieval period.
